Thanks to John O’Daly (coordinator) and all volunteers who assisted with the Caravan and Camping Lifestyle show – this event is an important opportunity to promote the Club to a Camping/4WD audience and provides a boost to our membership.
Our guest speaker for the February Social meeting will be Lisa Brock from Gallagher Insurance (4WDSA). Given the nature of our 4WD activities, members are often interested in the extent of their policies coverage and this will be an ideal opportunity to compare what Gallagher’s have to offer. Please welcome new members Adrian Worsley (969) and Tobias Nitschke (970).
The Social meeting on the 27th March will include our Annual General Meeting.
Requests for volunteers to assist with the 2018-19 Committee have been well received and the positive response is appreciated. We still need assistance behind the scenes and any further offers would be helpful – we need to bolster the ranks of our Mitsi Mates who welcome and mentor new members at Social meetings, please contact me if you can assist.
A reminder that membership renewals of $80 are due by the end of February. Account name: Mitsubishi 4WD Club of South Australia BSB 035047 Account 255297 – please include your Mitsi number.
Check further in Catchat for details on the Copper coast drive organised for Sunday 25th February and Deep Creek on the 18th March. The ever popular Polish Hill event will be over Easter – 28th March till 4th April.
Have you ever wondered who can enter past a ‘Road Closed’ sign near a bushfire. https://www.police.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0006/262176/Road-Closures-Public-Guidelines.pdf
Where can I find advanced notice of Road works, Incidents & Planned Events in South Australia? https://www.traffic.sa.gov.au/#mapo
I’m looking forward to meeting and chatting to members at our numerous upcoming events.
Ps. Whether I think I can or think I can’t – I’m probably right.
