This is the final CatChat for 2015 and I wish all members a happy and safe Christmas celebration with family and friends.
Around thirty members have joined this year and we welcome them all and encourage them to try the various activities offered by the Club.
The November 24th Social meeting will also be the final one for this year where we’ll discuss and vote on the 2016 Club budget- many thanks to Brian Cosh for his untiring work during the year. A segment on UHF radios will be presented looking at 40 vs 80 channels; the roles of different antennas; tips when using the transceiver and should all channels be used in the same way?
I look forward to meeting many of you at our Christmas function at the Willunga Caravan Park from the 27 to 29th of November – Naomi Jolly has been relentless in her energy when organising this and other functions.
We will conduct a January 2016 meeting which will be a ‘Chatfest’ without an invited speaker- we’ll introduce topics to encourage experienced members to share their 4wd trip knowledge with the rest of us.
Special thanks to the Trip Leaders and Trainers as they underpin the activities at the very core of the Club.
The Management Committee are currently reviewing all aspects of remote travel to ensure we are offering a service to members which is safe and effective whilst not being over burdened with paper work and protocols.
On behalf of the Committee we thank you for your support and look forward to 2016.
